This is a response to the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck Haiti.

Water With Blessings (WWB), a non-profit organization in Louisville, Kentucky, is working to provide clean drinking water to people affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti.

According to WDRB, this was a response to the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck Haiti, which damaged or destroyed thousands of houses. According to a press release from GivePower, as of August 19, the earthquake has officially claimed the lives of more than 2,100 people.

According to WWB, they have two main priorities in their efforts to assist Haiti:

According to WDRB, Larraine Lauter, executive director of Water With Blessings, stated that the water filter has a capacity of 3 million gallons. According to Lauter, the non-profit organization has been working with teams in many different countries for many years to distribute these filters to water women who have been trained in how to use the filters.

The non-profit organization's Haitian team is coordinating with Sr. Larraine.

"The number of people who die from water-borne diseases in refugee areas is usually more than the number who died in the initial disaster," said the non-profit organization.

According to WDRB, WWB in Louisville is working with its 24 members in Haiti to distribute hundreds of water filters in the next few days. Seven team members will perform the first task to distribute the filters to the most affected areas. A single filter can provide many years of clean water for multiple households.

According to WDRB, WWB stated that more than 44,000 filters have been distributed across Haiti in the past decade.
