Today, living in most urban areas in India presents a unique set of problems. When you are outdoors, you not only have to deal with the threat of increasing pollution and endless traffic jams, but when you return to the safe space, you must also deal with problems such as water and even air pollution-home.

In order to solve this problem, Dyson has launched some very interesting products in the past few years. Including its series of high-quality air purifiers, offering impressive hardware and a rich feature set. The latest product in this series is the company's 2021 air purifier series, the top Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool (HP07).

Interestingly, this futuristic technology can not only purify the air in the room, but as the name suggests, it can also try to adjust the temperature in the room. Yes, you read that right, this air purifier can theoretically cool or heat your room. But it will be described in detail later. First, let us understand the design and settings of the product.

This special air purifier HP07 is very interesting. It is based on last year's predecessor, with a bladeless fan housing at the top and a filter housing at the bottom. The lower part has a net-like appearance, which also looks interesting. As with most of Dyson's products, in general, these elements combine to make the product look very futuristic, ensuring that it will stand out in your room no matter where you put it.

The air purifier is also relatively light and can be moved freely between different rooms in the home. Although there is only one power button on the device, and it can be controlled with a remote control or through the Dyson Link app that can be downloaded on a smartphone, we do have a small display on the air purifier that can display all necessary information. From the current room temperature to the PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels in your room.

Now that we have completed the design discussion, let's take a look at the features and functions provided by Dyson air purifiers. As we mentioned above, in addition to purifying the air in your room, this product also promises to heat or cool your room. However, as we discovered in the process of using it, it is just one of these functions that handles well.

Therefore, if you want to cool the room, or at least in the humid environment of a city like Delhi, then an air purifier is not very useful. Having said that, this feature is not intended to make the device have an air conditioning function, so it is unfair to judge the product based on this specific feature. Let's talk about temperature control. The air purifier has indeed successfully doubled as a heater, and the heating function works well.

For both functions, the air purifier relies on its bladeless fan system, which can be set to work at a specific speed, or it can be programmed to work intelligently according to the needs of the room. Although it does not look like this, the fan cover can exhaust a lot of air and can also control its direction. Due to its design, the fan runs almost silently, and the performance of this special model HP07 is reduced by 20% compared to last year's model.

The fan is also the basis for controlling the air purification function of the product. To this end, Dyson used air multiplier technology, which is said to be able to project purified air to every corner of the room. Dyson's new air purifier provides a filter that meets the HEPA H13 standard. It can also capture H1N1 viruses and 99.95% of particles as small as 0.1 microns, such as allergens, bacteria, viruses, pollen, and mold spores. Dyson claims that its engineers have adopted a forensic method to achieve a fully sealed machine, "creating high-pressure seals at another 24 key points to prevent dirty air from bypassing the filter and bringing contaminants back into the room."

In terms of air purification, Dyson claims to have made some very impressive achievements. In its marketing materials, Dyson claims that the HP07 goes beyond a basic laboratory test method called "Clean Air Delivery Rate" (CADR), in which only one sensor is used to measure air quality. Instead, Dyson claims that the product has passed industry-wide CADR testing to ensure that this Dyson air purifier can evenly purify the air to every corner of the room.

Although we cannot test all these claims, we do purify the air in real time through visual confirmation, because the Dyson air purifier does show the current PM 2.5 and PM10 levels on the display. You can also use the Dyson Link app to access more information about real-time pollution levels in the room where the purifier is responsible. A quick glance at either of the two will reveal that the pollution level in the room is steadily decreasing. The air purifier takes about half an hour to fill the room with clean, breathable air.

But before we end, I will take a moment to talk about the Dyson Link app. To be honest, it is a great tool to control the HP07 purifier. As we mentioned above, this app not only allows you to control the purifier and its various functions, but also serves as the only site to access all the information you need about room temperature, humidity and pollution levels. In addition, it doesn't stop there, because the app can also provide you with information including the remaining filter life of the device.

The short answer is yes.

Taking into account the times we live in, now it has become a necessity to invest in a good air purifier. With the advent of winter, the need for clean, breathable air will only become more urgent, especially when people are at home. HP07’s HEPA 13 rating and commitment can capture H1N1 viruses and 99.95% of particles-as small as 0.1 microns, such as allergens, bacteria, viruses, pollen and mold spores-if you are looking for it, mark it as a very good one Choose to buy a new air purifier for you. In addition to its futuristic design and the ability to effectively heat medium-sized rooms, you will get a very interesting package.

However, the only thing that is not conducive to the product is its price tag. The entry price of this air purifier is about 50,000 rupees and the MRP is 66,900 rupees, which is not cheap. But then again, can people set a price for clean air? Therefore, if you can afford it, please don't think twice before buying, because honestly, the Hot + Cool air purifier is worth every penny that Dyson asks for.
